Otkrivatel Montessori School dedicates itself to providing a quality Montessori bilingual education for children aged 14 months through 14 years. We are authentic Montessori school with both Bulgarian and English highly qualified teachers in our classrooms. To us education is a journey that is unique to each child, having a well planned, supportive and rich resourced environment provides the child with abundant opportunities to develop themselves to their fullest potential.
We fulfil and exceed the national standards set by the State for every level. The learning environment and Toddlers Program meet the highest international standards of Association Montessori Internationale (AMI), the organisation founded by Dr. Maria Montessori.
We have two Primary classrooms for children 2.5/3 to 6 years, who want to learn, they want to be independent and have an effortless ability to absorb knowledge from surroundings.
The classroom environment is specially prepared with Montessori materials that are designed for the presentation and exploration of practical life, refinement of senses, early mathematics, language, culture, creativity. The beauty and order of the materials help to remind the child to return them to their place neatly and carefully. They are designed to meet the specific needs of each age and are inviting but not over-stimulating. The children have the freedom to make choices from a variety of sequentially-designed materials, which aids in their development of responsibility and self-mastery. This environment provides a setting rich in factual and beautiful materials, where the children construct their own intelligence with meaningful and purposeful work. We provide a child-centered and enriching environment where the children gain independence and self-discipline and learn appropriate skills. Self-discipline happens when a child is absorbed in her work, especially when that work is purposeful and the child can see direct relevance to her environment.

All children who are registered for enrolment we offer a Child’s Visit, when we invite the child to visit Otkrivatel Montessori School accompanied by a parent. During this visit, the child is involved in work with a Montessori teacher (our Psychologist could observe) for a period of 1 to 2 hours.
For the enrolment decision, Montessori school Otkrivatel invites the family for a meeting that aims to discuss the expectation of the parents and the school. When parents choose to enroll their child at Otkrivatel, they agree to support our mission statement, follow the rules and guidelines set out in the Parent Handbook, and abide by Otkrivatel’s policies. The main objective of the meeting is to align those.
Otkrivatel Montessori School makes admission decisions within 10 days of the preliminary conducted visit of the child. The administration and faculty work hard to ensure that each child is placed in an environment where her needs will be met.
Once Montessori School Otkrivatel offers a place to the child, the family is provided with an Enrollment package that should be signed within 10 days. Application form, contract, enrollment fee and deposit are required for enrollment of a child. The required set of child documents (birth certificate copy, medical tests for child care enrolment, Immunisation card, note from the child’s GP) have to be provided prior the first school day.
The enrolment process ends up by 30th of March 2018 for the upcoming School year 2018-19 and the child can start with Otkrivatel from the beginning of May, June or September 2018.
