Mixed Age Community

The children readily absorb all aspects of their environment in a quest to become part of their culture, observe and learn from the activities of the older children. Your older child gains self confidence, leadership skills and responsibility by setting an example for her younger friends. Children want to learn, they want to be independent and have an effortless ability to absorb knowledge from surroundings. The classroom environment is specially prepared with Montessori materials that are designed for the presentation and exploration of practical life, refinement of senses, early mathematics, language, culture, creativity. They are designed to meet the specific needs of each age and are inviting but not over-stimulating.

The Gift of Choice

The children have the freedom to make choices from a variety of sequentially-designed materials, which aids in their development of responsibility and self-mastery. This environment provides a setting rich in factual and beautiful materials, where the children construct their own intelligence with meaningful and purposeful work. Your child will be introduced to a broad range of concepts and activities in individual and small group lessons. The real learning occurs through independent activity of the child by choosing to explore it, repeat it and perfect it. The scientifically designed Montessori materials help your child learn through hands-on use and exploration. Individualised Learning

Bilingual Environment

Our program for bilingual atmosphere duplicates the conditions in which we all learn our first language—extended contact with a community of fluent speakers — and is by far the most effective method of language teaching. A number of children who come to Otkrivatel have English as a second language at school. They are able to benefit by fully bilingual opportunity that our education offers. For this reason we have a full time qualified native speaker teachers who are supporting the english language comprehension.

Group Play

While most of the day is spent in self-directed work, there are also times for group activity and play. The teacher may gather a group for songs or to tell stories about a cultural, scientific or historical theme of interest. Ample time is also given to run, dig, explore and play with friends outdoors. Every week the children cook, make art with water colors and clay, take care for their garden, prepare breakfast or arrange flowers. The result is self-confidence, joy and a life long love for learning.

Essential Skills for a Social Life

The Primary classroom is designed to help your child become his best self. Through “grace and courtesy” activities, we show your child how to solve conflicts, how to act politely in social situations and how to be kind and helpful to friends and strangers.

A Bridge Between Kindergarten and School

Montessori assists continuous development, which allows your child to build upon her experiences each year. Your child will stay in the Primary Classroom for 3 years, including the traditional “kindergarten year” – when the seeds of learning come to fruition. Reading and writing come to life from sounds and symbols. Get acquainted with numbers and the decimal system. He learns about geometric shapes and our world. He leaves the program with a set of academic skills and the attitude that learning is fun, exciting and boundless. At this point, your child is ready to move to the elementary school program for children from the ages of 6 to 12.

Annual tuitions for School year 2022- 2023

These are annual tuitions in term of one time payment.

For the convenience of our families, the annual tuition can be divided into 2 or 11 equal instalments.

The tuition is described in details in the Education contract and can be paid within the following schedule opportunities:

One payment

1st June for the upcoming school year

Two equal installments

1st June and 1st September

11 equal instalments

September – July

According to the payments schedule, selected by the family, all fees must be received on time.

Our families could benefit from Kiddie menu, School bus and Clubs/Extra Classes, Extended day, which require extra fee payable on a school term or school year. All tuitions are fixed through the school year.

It is our privilege to provide our families the opportunity to design their child’s experience based on the whole family’s needs, abilities, and hopes for their little ones –

  • younger sibling receives a 5% discount,
  • twins receive a 10% discount.

In order to have smooth settling-in, children under 2 years of age could be enrolled full or half-day program at 4-day per week schedule for a period of 3 months.

The Clubs and classes in the Extended day program vary from year to year and are offered to different age groups and at different levels of expertise. A list and fees of Clubs is sent via monthly newsletter to parents before the start of the school year and is available at the online platform.

Upon enrolment an education contract is signed and is paid:

  • one-time non-refundable administrative Enrolment fee on the amount of 400 euro at Children’s house
  • annual fee Learning resources is paid for the school year on the amount of 200 euro at Children’s House. The fee includes learning materials, resources, platforms, supplies, books, and
  • a deposit on the amount of 15% of annual fee.

Fees are designed by the Otkrivatel’s governance body and are revised on an annual basis. Our school fees reflect the expenses to enable the developmental work with the children  and the growth environment and experiences for supporting the child’s potential to manifest, along with the contribution each family makes to the running of the children’s house and school. Annual fundraising revenues aim to support the faculty education, financial aid, enhance the general operating budget of the school and to help keeping the tuition increases to a minimum.
