Dear Discover Community,<\/span><\/p>\n

Today, on May 24, the Day of Slavic Script and Culture, invites us to pause and reflect on something both simple and profound:<\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  • Learning is alive.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Culture is lived.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Language is who we become.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    There is a quiet beauty in how it all unfolds.<\/span><\/p>\n

    A letter becomes a word.
    \nA word becomes a thought.
    \nA thought becomes a voice.
    \nAnd one day, a child finds the courage to speak, to write, to express\u2026 and to shape the world.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Like in Hokusai\u2019s words –
    \n\u201cI write, erase, rewrite\u2026 and then a poppy blooms.\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

    So it is with learning, with growth, and with every child.<\/span><\/p>\n

    We celebrate not only the Bulgarian language and culture, but the deeper meaning behind them\u2014the human need to understand, to connect, to create. In our school, this lives in everyday moments:<\/span><\/p>\n

    • In the child who reads their first sentence independently.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • In the student who questions, challenges, and seeks meaning.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • In the teacher who patiently guides, observes, and believes.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • In the community that holds space for all of this to happen.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      This is education – not as a system, but as a living experience.<\/span><\/p>\n

      Books continue to be at the heart of this journey.<\/span><\/p>\n

      They sit quietly on shelves, yet carry entire worlds.
      \nThey ask nothing, yet give everything.
      \nThey teach us to focus, to imagine, to persist, to understand.<\/span><\/p>\n

      Through them, we learn:
      \n\u2026to concentrate deeply in a distracted world
      \n\u2026to value simplicity over noise
      \n\u2026to pursue mastery with patience
      \n\u2026to trust time as part of every meaningful process<\/span><\/p>\n

      And perhaps most importantly,\u00a0 we learn to think, to feel, and to become.<\/span><\/p>\n

      As a full IB continuum school – PYP, MYP, and DP – we continue to build not only knowledge, but human beings:<\/span><\/p>\n

        \n
      • Learners who are thoughtful and courageous.<\/span><\/li>\n
      • Individuals who are open-minded and principled.<\/span><\/li>\n
      • Young people who are ready not only to succeed, but to contribute.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        This is our shared work, responsibility and story.<\/span><\/p>\n

        I invite you to pause –
        \n\u2026 to appreciate a teacher,
        \n\u2026 to open a book,
        \n\u2026 to listen more deeply,
        \n\u2026 to speak more kindly,
        \n\u2026 to learn something new.<\/span><\/p>\n

        Because in the end, education is not only about what we know, but about whom we become through the process<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

        Happy May 24th!<\/span><\/p>\n

        May we continue to grow, to learn, and to bloom\u2014together.<\/span><\/p>\n
