The winter solstice celebrates the longest hours of darkness or the rebirth of the sun and it is believed to hold a powerful energy for regeneration and self-reflection. It was the celebration of the Goddess (Moon) energy and was believed that on this day, the moon would give birth to the sun. Long ago, ancient civilizations, indigenous cultures and various religions, all had their own rituals for taking advantage of this unique energy.
On that special day – 21st of December we hold our Christmas concert and Charity bazaar. The children prepared a lot of surprises during our Christmas workshops and the all guests have a chance to buy them on our Christmas bazaar. The funds raised from the tickets and the sale go to a charity cause chosen by the children – the first professional hospital program in art therapy and music therapy, in which specialists art- therapists and music therapists conduct weekly sessions with the children- patients during their treatment.
This year we are going to have a special MMUN table on which will be items made by our MMUN participants.
