Sport is not just a necessity, but a way of life

Meet our lovely teachers at Otkrivatel Montessori School where we have Pre-school (2,5 – 6 years), Elementary (6 – 12 years) and Adolescents (12 – 18 years) classes. Here, students and teachers are partners in the process of self-construction and development.

Anton Tsarev is a sports teacher. He turns every new game into a favourite one, and sports into a fun and awaited adventure.

– Of course, a school cannot do without some sports and entertainment. What is it like to be a PE teacher?

– Being a sports teacher at Otkrivatel Montessori School is a challenge, responsibility and pleasure for me to help students discover the activities they enjoy in the wide range of sports. Sport is not just a necessity, but also a pleasure and a way of life. It is very important to instil a love of sports in the children from an early age. My mission is to provide them with the necessary support in building sustainable qualities to achieve their goals. For me, Otkrivatel Montessori School is a place that gives more opportunities to develop the potential of the whole community.

– What activities do the children have? What are their favourite ones?

– The connection with nature, the time outdoors engages the community to many activities, fun and new games. Part of teaching is to introduce students to values by developing their individual initiative, their team spirit and fair play.

Children are very happy to participate in team games such as football and handball. Gymnastics and athletics are also conducive to good tone and mood, and also develop useful traits such as endurance, patience, hard work and self-mastery.
